AOC Team Recognized with 2 Awards

Hampton, VA: TrustedQA’s Air Operations Center (AOC) Program was recently recognized with two awards for their work on modernizing the U.S. Air Force’s primary command system using the latest DevOps practices.

The two awards include Aviation Week’s Program Excellence Award for OEM Sustainment and the Government Innovation Award for Digital Transformation.

Led by prime contractor Raytheon, TrustedQA’s AOC team is changing how the Air Force buys and deploys software, coding and deploying critical mission applications in as little as 150 days, saving millions of dollars and thousands of hours on tasks that were previously performed manually at the AOCs. TrustedQA is working under Agile and DevOps processes that put a priority on people and interactions over tools and processes. These processes emphasize constant communication within teams as well as with the customer. Our teams frequently meet, so everybody knows what everybody else is doing, creating a feedback loop that lets teams adjust based on what customers are telling them.

The AOCs provide a strategic capability for the U.S. Air Force with operators at 22 global locations. The AOC Weapon System provides command and control of aircraft conducting a range of missions in a set geographical area.
